The Can Channel 5 Please Stop Moving The Time Slot For Once Upon A Time Post.

Some things are self-explanatory. (Oh, and why didn't Intrada give Red Riding Hood a cover as well for the soundtrack album?)

The Triumphant Return Of The Alttiere Guide To The New Season Post.

Oh, I do like this time of year. I know it's to set advertising rates and all that, but it's really all about new US shows. Alttiere, as I always like to explain, is for Jessica Alba and Hayden Panettiere, and indicates if there's anyone in the show for us single guys or people so inclined. Which, this being television, there usually is. So, in order of announcement:

FOX

Axe Cop
From The Good Folks At: Er, well, not sure yet.
What's It About? In the great tradition of Angry Dad, this is based on a web comic about axe-wielding cops. Fox continuing animation, in other words.
Will I Check It Out? Not sure.
Alttiere Factor: It's a cartoon.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Not massive.

Ben and Kate
From The Good Folks At: Hemingway Drive Productions, Chernin Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Television.
What's It About? A single mother whose brother helps her bring up her five-year-old daughter. Probably less guaranteed to bring "Awwwww"s than if this was the 1980s.
Will I Check It Out? It doesn't immediately say "Watch me."
Alttiere Factor: It may be down to Dakota Johnson (who's the mommy) and Lucy Punch.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: I wouldn't put money on it.

The Following
From The Good Folks At: Bonanza Productions Inc., Outerbanks Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? Kevin Williamson leaves Alloy Entertainment behind with a series about a retired FBI agent (Kevin Bacon, no less) called back into service to catch a serial killer... who's developed a cult made up of serial killers.
Will I Check It Out? Unlikely, to be honest.
Alttiere Factor: Natalie Zea (ex-Justified), and allegedly Maggie Grace.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: It's a show involving serial killers. Of course it'll find a British buyer.

The Goodwin Games
From The Good Folks At: Bays/Thomas and Twentieth Century Fox Television.
What's It About? Three siblings who'll inherit their late dad's fortune - although strings are very attached.
Will I Check It Out? Maybe...
Alttiere Factor: ...and the presence of Becki Newton isn't a minus in that respect or this.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: "From the people who gave you How I Met Your Mother" might help E4.

The Mindy Project (formerly It's Messy)
From The Good Folks At: 3 Arts Entertainment, Kaling International, Inc. and Universal Television.
What's It About? "A young Bridget-Jones type doctor trying to navigate both her personal and professional lives," it says here. Designed as a vehicle for The Office cast member/writer Mindy Kaling by... Mindy Kaling. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Will I Check It Out? Unlikely at the point of writing, but...
Alttiere Factor: Anna Camp may be the Hannah Simone to Mindy's Zooey Deschanel.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: I wouldn't count it out.

The Mob Doctor
From The Good Folks At: Osprey Production Group, Rooney McP Productions and Sony Pictures Television.
What's It About? Another young doctor, this one a thoracic surgeon, who due to her brother getting in trouble with the mob has to work for them. You never got that on Marcus Welby, M.D.
Will I Check It Out? Possibly.
Alttiere Factor: Jordana Spiro can get some temperatures rising.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: If HawthoRNe can...

NBC

1600 Penn
From The Good Folks At: Twentieth Century Fox Television.
What's It About? The day-to-day life of the First Family of the US of A. The President this time around is Bill Pullman, who doesn't have to worry about aliens this time (Independence Day).
Will I Check It Out? Given that previous sitcoms set in the White House include Hail To The Chief, Mr. President and Cory In The House, the signs aren't great.
Alttiere Factor: The First Daughter in this scenario is Martha MacIsaac (replacing Brittany Snow), so not bad.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: If it's as good as the other sitcom Jason Winer's worked on lately (Modern Family), pretty good.

Animal Practice
From The Good Folks At: American Work Inc. and Universal Television.
What's It About? A top veterinarian whose new boss is his ex. Cue romantic and animal shenanigans.
Will I Check It Out? The involvement of the Russo brothers notwithstanding, probably not.
Alttiere Factor: Undetermined at press time. UPDATE: The ex is the gorgeous, sexy and talented JoAnna Garcia. Result!
Chances Of Coming To The UK: No idea.

Chicago Fire
From The Good Folks At: Wolf Films and Universal Television.
What's It About? Firefighters in Chicago. We're talking exactly what it says on the tin here for Dick Wolf and pals.
Will I Check It Out? It's a possibility.
Alttiere Factor: Hello, Monica Raymund and Lauren German.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Not bad. Five's channels, Watch, Sky One...

Deception (formerly Infamous)
From The Good Folks At: BermanBraun and Universal Television.
What's It About? A detective and ex-best friend of a deceased young socialite goes undercover to find out if the girl was murdered.
Will I Check It Out? Could be done.
Alttiere Factor: The detective is played by Meagan Good, so yes.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Sounds right up Alibi's street.

Do No Harm
From The Good Folks At: Traugott Company and Universal Television.
What's It About? A successful and popular neurosurgeon who has a serious problem - a dual personality. And the much nastier other half wants to take over...
Will I Check It Out? Got to admit it's intriguing, although can it sustain a whole series?
Alttiere Factor: There's Alana de la Garza, Ruta Gedmintas and, er, Phylicia Rashad.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: I think this one might. SkyLiving?

Go On
From The Good Folks At: Silver & Gold Productions, Dark Toy Entertainment and Universal Television.
What's It About? Matthew Perry, in his third bid to have a post-Friends success, is a widowed sportscaster who wants to go on with his life - but the counselling group he's compelled to go to may have other ideas.
Will I Check It Out? Maybe.
Alttiere Factor: The clear winner here (will all due respect to Laura Benanti) is Allison Miller, although her last two series were Kings and Terra Nova. Third time lucky?
Chances Of Coming To The UK: I wouldn't count it out (although unlike Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, Mr. Sunshine hasn't shown up over here). Channel 4 if it's a hit.

Guys With Kids
From The Good Folks At: Holiday Road, Charlie Grandy Productions and Universal Television.
What's It About? Three fathers, and how they cope with the new presences in their lives.
Will I Check It Out? Since one of the dads is Anthony Anderson, I doubt it.
Alttiere Factor: Jamie-Lynn Sigler in non-HBO show shock!
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Comedy Central or E4?

Hannibal
From The Good Folks At: The Colleton Company, Living Dead Guy Productions and Gaumont International Television.
What's It About? Hannibal Lecter: The Early Years.
Will I Check It Out? NO. (Which is a shame, considering the involvement of Bryan Fuller and Jesse Alexander.)
Alttiere Factor: No idea.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: See The Following.

The New Normal
From The Good Folks At: Ryan Murphy Productions, Ali Adler Is Here Productions and Twentieth Century Fox Television.
What's It About? In Ryan Murphy's first real comedy, a gay couple enlist a surrogate mother. Hilarity ensues, but this being Ryan Murphy subtlety probably won't.
Will I Check It Out? I've done so with all his previous series (except American Horror Story).
Alttiere Factor: One Day's Georgia King (as the surrogate) and possibly Ellen Barkin (as her mother) do you?
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Quite good.

Next Caller
From The Good Folks At: Lionsgate Television and Universal Television.
What's It About? A foul-mouthed DJ pairing up with a more polite feminist. So probably not the next Frasier.
Will I Check It Out? It stars Dane Cook, so I'm thinking no.
Alttiere Factor: The feminist is Collette Wolfe from Hot Tub Time Machine, Young Adult and (though not now) Cougar Town. They were hardly likely to cast Patricia Routledge, were they now?
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Probably possible, really.

Revolution
From The Good Folks At: Bonanza Productions Inc., Bad Robot Productions, Kripke Enterprises and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? You know how at the end of Escape From L.A. Snake Plissken causes the world's biggest power cut? This is that and what happens 15 years later, but without Snake Plissken. And with better results for the audience, hopefully. Executive produced by creator Eric Kripke (Supernatural - and Boogeyman), J.J. Abrams and pilot director Jon Favreau.
Will I Check It Out? You know, I may just will.
Alttiere Factor: This being a (part-)Bad Robot enterprise, pretty high - Andrea Roth, Tracy Spiridakos and Anna Lise Phillips.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: High. Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5, SkyLiving...

Save Me
From The Good Folks At: Original Film and Sony Pictures Television.
What's It About? Anne Heche has a near-death experience and then discovers that she's a prophet. As in getting messages from God. By the way, this is a comedy.
Will I Check It Out? Provided it's more like Joan Of Arcadia than The Book Of Daniel.
Alttiere Factor: Not bad with Alex Breckenridge, Heather Burns and Madison Davenport.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: It's suitably unreverential-sounding that this could have a shot.

ABC

666 Park Avenue
From The Good Folks At: Bonanza Productions Inc., Alloy Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? The titular apartment building owned by Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Williams (John Locke and Wilhemina Slater!), the new managers of which find out that it's worth your soul to stay there.
Will I Check It Out? It sounds up my street.
Alttiere Factor: In addition to the ever-yummy Vanessa, Mercedes Masohn and Rachael Taylor (as Mrs. Manager) bear investigation.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Based on Alloy's previous track record on British TV, it's likely. ITV2, SkyLiving, Watch...

Family Tools
From The Good Folks At: The Mark Gordon Company, ITV Studios America and ABC Studios.
What's It About? A colossal screwup has to take over the family business from the great J.K. Simmons. Based on the UK sitcom White Van Man (this translation's original title as well, before becoming Red Van Man and finally what it settled on).
Will I Check It Out? Very unlikely.
Alttiere Factor: Danielle Nicolet and Leah Remini, stand up and be counted.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Not great.

How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)
From The Good Folks At: Imagine Television and Twentieth Century Fox Television.
What's It About? Divorced mother who's somewhat uptight, living with her parents who... aren't.
Will I Check It Out? I don't really know.
Alttiere Factor: Sarah Chalke is the person taking the title lesson.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: SkyLiving? E4?

Last Resort
From The Good Folks At: Big Sun Productions, MiddKid Productions and Sony PicturesTelevision.
What's It About? A nuclear submarine refuses to fire on Pakistan, the captain is relieved of command and the XO is now in charge - making it rougher when the sub and all who sail in her winds up on an exotic island accused of being enemies of the state. It's Gilligan's Island meets political thrillers...
Will I Check It Out? It's highly likely.
Alttiere Factor: Autumn Reeser, Dichen Lachman and Jessy Schram? Sold.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Shawn Ryan's previous series The Shield, The Unit and The Chicago Code all did. I see no reason why his streak should end with this. Sky One's a possibility.

Malibu Country
From The Good Folks At: Laura Ziskin Productions and Twentieth Century Fox Television.
What's It About? Aspiring country singing star Reba McEntire walks on out her actual country singing star/cheating husband and moves to California with her mum and family. This is the second time she's played a character called Reba, by the way.
Will I Check It Out? If I get a chance, because I like Reba.
Alttiere Factor: Juliette Angelo looks WAY too young, so it's down to Sara Rue.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Her last sitcom never did, alas...
Mistresses
From The Good Folks At: Ecosse Films and ABC Studios.
What's It About? Four female friends, who are all in one way or another... guess. ABC's second series here to be based on a British show.
Will I Check It Out? Unlikely, out of principle.
Alttiere Factor: Alyssa Milano would be enough by herself, but throw in Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan...
Chances Of Coming To The UK: I'm not sure.

Nashville
From The Good Folks At: Walk & Chew Gum, Cutler Productions, Small Wishes, Opry Entertainment, Lionsgate Television and ABC Studios.
What's It About? A drama set in the capital of country music, focusing on star-in-the-descendant Connie Britton and star-in-the-ascendant Hayden Panettiere (the former has to open for the latter on tour, and neither particularly likes the other). Created by Callie Khouri, who we all know and love for Thelma & Louise if not Divine Secrets Of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood.
Will I Check It Out? What part of "star-in-the-ascendant Hayden Panettiere" do you not understand? We're not all Friday Night Lights fans, you know (certainly not in Britain).
Alttiere Factor: Clare Bowen is cute, but come on - this one actually has the "ttiere" in "Alttiere"! Short of having the "Al" as well, you can't do better than that.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: In spite of the country element, I'm still thinking it may. Sky Atlantic, FiveUSA or More4, or even Really?

The Neighbors
From The Good Folks At: 17-28 Black, Kapital Entertainment and ABC Studios.
What's It About? A couple move into an exclusive gated community and find out that all their neighbo(u)rs are aliens. As you do. Created by Dan Fogelman of Tangled and Crazy, Stupid, Love. - and Cars.
Will I Check It Out? I'm not entirely sure.
Alttiere Factor: If you've been pining for Jami Gertz since her Entourage stint...
Chances Of Coming To The UK: You never know.

Red Widow
From The Good Folks At: Tall Girls Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment, Endemol USA and ABC Studios.
What's It About? Suburban housewife whose family's loot is built on organized crime loses her husband to such activities... and takes them up herself to keep alive and avenge her husband's death. Based on a Dutch show (a rare non-reality series linked to Endemol), and shepherded by Melissa Rosenberg now she's left Dexter Morgan and Bella Swan behind.
Will I Check It Out? See Mistresses.
Alttiere Factor: Radha Mitchell is our heroine, and Jaime Ray Newman provides sterling support.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Possible.

Zero Hour
From The Good Folks At: DiBonaventura Pictures Television and (you guessed it) ABC Studios.
What's It About? James Randi-type played by Anthony Edwards has to find his wife, kidnapped due to one of the clocks in her shop having a treasure map inside which could lead to more than just treasure. Created by Paul T. Scheuring of Prison Break, so logic will almost certainly be damned.
Will I Check It Out? Quite possibly.
Alttiere Factor: Jacinda Barrett is his wife, plus there's Carmen Ejogo and Addison Timlin.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Good.

CBS

Elementary
From The Good Folks At: Hill Of Beans Productions, Timberman-Beverly Productions and CBS Television Studios.
What's It About? It's the other show about a modern-day Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller here), working as a consultant to New York's finest. British (and American) fans of Sherlock crying foul might like to remember that Universal did it first in the 1940s...
Will I Check It Out? ...although I'll still pass on this one as well...
Alttiere Factor: ...in spite of Lucy Liu playing the sexiest Watson ever.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: You are joking, right? (Then again, Channel 4 airs the US version of The Killing...)

Friend Me
From The Good Folks At: The Tannenbaum Company and CBS Television Studios.
What's It About? Two young friends who move to LA for new jobs. One of them is Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
Will I Check It Out? Not sure.
Alttiere Factor: No idea at the time of writing.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: E4, maybe?

Golden Boy
From The Good Folks At: Berlanti Television and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? A cop who rises through the ranks at supersonic speed, making commissioner at 34.
Will I Check It Out? Probably. Probably not.
Alttiere Factor: Bonnie Somerville is supercop's wife.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Alibi, or other channels which love cop shows.

Made In Jersey
From The Good Folks At: Left Coast Productions, FanFare Productions, CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television.
What's It About? A working-class woman in a posh law firm. Could she possibly use her street smarts to advantage in such a button-down environment? What do you think?
Will I Check It Out? Maybe. I want Fairly Legal back, mind.
Alttiere Factor: Janet Montgomery is the Jersey-created one, and Erin Cummings and Stephanie March (returning to law after her years in the Law & Order universe) aren't painful to look at either.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: The aforementioned Alibi, More4, or perhaps Universal.

Partners
From The Good Folks At: KoMut Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? Two architects - one straight, one gay - who are practically married. Sigh. And not in a Hayden Panettiere-inspired way either.
Will I Check It Out? Kohan and Mutchnick's form since Will & Grace (Good Morning Miami? Twins? Bleep My Dad Says?) suggests "Er, no." Also, the title has previously been used by two shortlived sitcoms and a dud movie.
Alttiere Factor: Well, Sophia Bush is on board.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Expect the noisy comet in their logo to land on these shores with this.

Vegas
From The Good Folks At: Happy Valley Films, Tree Line Film, Arthur Sarkissian Productions and CBS Television Studios.
What's It About? Nothing to do with Las Vegas or the Robert Urich (RIP) show from a pre-grit Michael Mann, this is based on the life of cowboy-turned-Las Vegas Sheriff Ralph Lamb (played here by Dennis Quaid). James Mangold's third stab at TV (after Men In Trees and NYC 22), and GoodFellas' Nicholas Pileggi is involved as well behind the camera.
Will I Check It Out? I might.
Alttiere Factor: So far, only Carrie-Anne Moss...
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Bet on it. Boom-tish.

The CW

Arrow
From The Good Folks At: Bonanza Productions Inc., Berlanti Productions, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? Where Aquaman failed, the Green Arrow succeeded; this is about a bow-and-guess-what wielding superhero.
Will I Check It Out? I don't seem to have done so for other DC-based live-action shows of late other than Human Target, and the involvement of Greg Berlanti doesn't help after No Ordinary Family...
Alttiere Factor: ...but on the other hand, Willa Holland and Susanna Thompson have powers of their own.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Extremely good.

Beauty & The Beast
From The Good Folks At: Take 5 Productions, Whizbang Films and CBS Television Studios.
What's It About? This was one of two series with that title in line for the 2012-13 season; ABC's was the one that didn't make the cut. Unlike the Alphabet's version, this one is a redo of the cult 1987-90 series, with the new Vincent being a genetically altered war veteran and the new Catherine being a cop. So probably no Tunnel People (or wondrous, three-times-Emmy-winning music either).
Will I Check It Out? Well, this sounds "darker" and "edgier" than the original romantic show, which went "darker" and "edgier" itself in its final season... which turned out to be the reason why it was its final season.
Alttiere Factor: Kristin Kreuk returns to the CW to step into Linda Hamilton's shoes, and Nicole Gale Anderson is her sister (the amusingly-named - if you're a fan of Heathers - Heather Chandler).
Chances Of Coming To The UK: It's not impossible.

The Carrie Diaries
From The Good Folks At: Fake Empire and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? It's about Carrie Bradshaw in her teenage years, and thus it's the CW doing for Sex And The City what Smallville did for Superman.
Will I Check It Out? Oh, please.
Alttiere Factor: AnnaSophia Robb is our proto-Sarah Jessica Parker, and Chloe Bridges and Freema Agyeman are with this as well.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Guaranteed. And given which channel the parent series was a big hit over here for, my money's on it being on E4's or even Channel 4's lineup (you seriously think they'll let ITV2 anywhere near this?).

Cult
From The Good Folks At: Rockne S. O'Bannon Television, Fake Empire, CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? A TV production assistant and a blogger look into fans of a hit crime-centric show who might be copying what they see too closely...
Will I Check It Out? I may do so.
Alttiere Factor: The presence of Alona Tal and Jessica Lucas doesn't hurt.
Chances Of Coming To The UK: Not bad. SkyLiving or maybe Syfy?

Emily Owens, M.D.
From The Good Folks At: The Dan Jinks Company, CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television.
What's It About? It's the second series this season with a Heroes alumnus. But the presence of Jack "Mr. Bennet" Coleman notwithstanding, it's about a female medical student (Mamie Gummer, daughter of Meryl Streep no less!) working as a hospital intern. Formerly called First Cut; thankfully they gave it a new title beginning with E so I didn't have to move this up.
Will I Check It Out? Not sure...
Alttiere Factor: ...but my reaction on looking up cast member Aja Naomi King was "WHOA!" Not bad to have The Event's Necar Zadegan along either. And Mamie isn't exactly ugly herself...
Chances Of Coming To The UK: It might.

The Before We Do The New Season, The Old Season Post.

No intro, let's just get to it.

FOX

Alcatraz (Bad Robot/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: "Count on it. You can see this one fitting in perfectly on Sky One's lineup."
Was I Right? Perhaps I should have said Watch instead of Sky One, as that's who bought it.

Allen Gregory (JHF/Chernin Entertainment/Bento Box Entertainment/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "Pretty good."
Was I Right? One of several comedies acquired by E4.

The Finder (Josephson Entertainment/Far Field Productions/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "This might follow Bones onto Sky One."
Was I Right? No; perhaps it should have been called The Loser. UPDATE: This got bought by Universal Channel.

I Hate My Teenage Daughter (Bonanza Productions/Gavin&Roxie&Hap Productions/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: "Comedy Central or E4, maybe?"
Was I Right? At the time of writing, no.

Napoleon Dynamite (Hess Films/Scully Productions/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "Possible."
Was I Right? More than possible - it was bought by E4.

New Girl (Elizabeth Merriwether Pictures/American Nitwits/Chernin Entertainment/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "This could go on SkyLiving or E4."
Was I Right? Yes, sort of - it went to Channel 4.

Terra Nova (Amblin Television/Chernin Entertainment/Kapital Entertainment/Siesta Productions/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "High."
Was I Right? Yep; Sky One bought it.

Touch (Tailwind Productions/Chernin Entertainment/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "Good."
Was I Right? Yes - the relationship between Kiefer Sutherland and Sky One continues.

NBC

Are You There, Chelsea? (formerly Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea - Werner Entertainment/Borderline Amazing Productions/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: "If E! showed scripted programming, it would be a lock for the channel. Since it doesn't, I'll bet Comedy Central."
Was I Right? No sign of it on this or any channel.

Awake (Le11er Eleven/Teakwood Lane Productions/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "Possibly Syfy?"
Was I Right? Well, Sky Atlantic does have an "S" and a "y" in its name...

Bent (Quill Entertainment/Universal Television)
What I Said: "Could go either way."
Was I Right? No sign of it yet.

Best Friends Forever (American Work/Universal Television)
What I Said: "Not very high."
Was I Right? Pretty much.

The Firm (Entertainment One Television/Sony Pictures Television/Paramount Pictures)
What I Said: "Universal or Alibi?"
Was I Right? Not at the time of writing.

Free Agents (Very Small Realm/Dark Toy/Big Talk Productions/Universal Television)
What I Said: "Given the cast includes Hank Azaria (in his second show with British links - when Stressed Eric was shown in America he revoiced the title character) and Anthony Head (reprising his role from the original show, a rarity for such Transatlantic translations), not as unlikely as it seems."
Was I Right? So far, more unlikely than I thought.

Grimm (GK Productions/Hazy Mills Productions/Universal Television)
What I Said: "Very good - Channel 4, BBC2, Sky One, SkyLiving..."
Was I Right? It went to Watch.

The Playboy Club (Alta Loma Entertainment Inc./Imagine Television/Storyland (Chad Hodge)/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "Pretty good - More4, BBC3, Sky Atlantic?"
Was I Right? It has yet to show up.

Prime Suspect (ITV Studios America/Film 44/Universal Television)
What I Said: Not as remote as it might seem.
Was I Right? No. UPDATE: It has since been acquired, appropriately enough, by Universal Channel.

Smash (Madwoman In The Attic, Inc./DreamWorks Television/Universal Television)
What I Said: "Excellent, especially since Channel 4's relinquished Glee."
Was I Right? Yes - it's been bought by Sky Atlantic (joining Blue Bloods and House Of Lies in the channel's short list of non-HBO UK premieres).

Up All Night (Broadway Video/Universal Television)
What I Said: Quite good; Comedy Central, SkyLiving or Five might be the best bets.
Was I Right? No sign of this one, even though Christina Applegate's last show turned up... UPDATE: ...and so did this, eventually, on ITV2.

Whitney (Stuber Television/Universal Television)
What I Said: "I wouldn't bet on it, unless it's really funny."
Was I Right? That didn't stop Comedy Central.

ABC

Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23 (Fierce Baby Productions/Hemingson Entertainment/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "E4? SkyLiving? Don't know."
Was I Right? It proved to be E4, which isn't surprising. Nor is it surprising that the fourth word in the title is censored - something which would also have happened had it been a British show (see the EPG listings for Gossip Girl's "The Blair Bitch Project" and Ringer's "A Whole New Kind Of Bitch," "If You're Just An Evil Bitch, ).

Charlie's Angels (Millar Gough Ink/Panda Productions/Flower Films/Sony Pictures Television)
What I Said: "Guaranteed. Sky One? SkyLiving? Five? Watch? Maybe even ITV2?"
Was I Right? It turned out to be E4. Well, they do have a lot of time to fill now that Big Brother, Friends and Glee are all gone.

GCB (Darren Star Productions/Kapital Entertainment/ABC Studios)
What I Said: "Not out of the question."
Was I Right? Not yet.

Last Man Standing (Twenty-One Laps-Adelstein/Double Wide Productions/Twentieth Century Fox Television)
What I Said: "Not great, since Home Improvement wasn't a hit over here."
Was I Right? Oh yeah.
Man Up! (Garfield Grove/Tagline Television/ABC Studios)
What I Said: "It's not out of the question."
Was I Right? Unlike the same producer's Better Off Ted and The Trouble With Normal, no sign.

Missing (Little Engine Productions/Upcountry Productions/ABC Studios)
What I Said: "It may well find a home, although the title might have to be changed (there's already been a BBC series of that name, in addition to 1-800-MISSING being shown over here as Missing)."
Was I Right? Ashley Judd's European exploits haven't turned up in this particular part of the continent.

Once Upon A Time (Kitsis/Horowitz / ABC Studios)
What I Said: "This sounds a lot more interesting than No Ordinary Family, and THAT found a British buyer, so..."
Was I Right? Yes; Channel Five bought it (a rare terrestrial premiere for this year's lineup).

Pan Am (Shoe Money/Jack Orman Productions/Out Of The Blue Entertainment/Sony Pictures Television)
What I Said: "ABC'll love for this to fly. And over here, it may show. (If all else fails, Sony Entertainment Television is on here now...)"
Was I Right? BBC2 snapped it up to fill the Mad Men-shaped gap in its schedule.

Revenge (Page Fright-A Mike Kelley Production/Temple Hill Productions/ABC Studios)
What I Said: "It's not out of the question."
Was I Right? The series joined the long, long list of E4 buy-ins.

The River (Haunted Movies/J.A. Green Construction Corp./Amblin Television/ABC Studios)
What I Said: "Very few Spielberg productions don't."
Was I Right? It's available on iTunes UK... does that count?

Scandal (ShondaLand/ABC Studios)
What I Said: "I'm not entirely sure on this one."
Was I Right? I was right not to be sure on this one.

Suburgatory (Piece Of Pie Productions/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: No idea.
Was I Right? E4 took it.

Work It (Bonanza Productions/Summer School Productions/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: "Possible."
Was I Right? Er... no.

CBS

2 Broke Girls (Bonanza Productions/MPK Productions/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: "5*, Comedy Central, E4 perhaps?"
Was I Right? It was the last-named.

NYC 22 (formerly The 2-2) (Tribeca Productions/CBS Television Studios)
What I Said: "Universal, perhaps (even after Rookie Blue)? Maybe Alibi?"
Was I Right? No to either, plus Rookie Blue is still around.

A Gifted Man (Baer Bones/Timberman-Beverly Productions/CBS Television Studios)
What I Said: "It might."
Was I Right? It hasn't. UPDATE: Coming to Watch.

How To Be A Gentleman (Media Rights Capital/CBS Productions)
What I Said: "Doubtful. It might have to be a hit first."
Was I Right? Well, it certainly wasn't a hit... UPDATE: But that didn't stop Comedy Central.

Person Of Interest (Bad Robot Productions/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: "It's from J.J. Abrams, so it's not a matter of if but when."
Was I Right? Not in time for this season. UPDATE: This will mark J.J. Abrams's first show on Channel 5 since season two of Alias.

Unforgettable (Timberman-Beverly Productions/CBS Television Studios/Sony Pictures Television)
What I Said: "Hmmm... Universal? Alibi? Channel 4? Five?"
Was I Right? Female-led drama? I should have said SkyLiving.

The CW

Hart Of Dixie (Fake Empire/CBS Television Studios/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: "Good."
Was I Right? Yes - it was picked up by Really. Yes, really.

Ringer (Green Eggs And Pam Productions, Inc./Brillstein Entertainment Partners/ABC Studios/Warner Bros. Television/CBS Productions)
What I Said: "Excellent, and that's without taking the Buffy factor into consideration. E4, BBC2, Syfy, Sky One..."
Was I Right? ...but I should have mentioned SkyLiving, because that's where it wound up.

The Secret Circle (Outerbanks Entertainment/Alloy Entertainment/CBS Television Studios/Warner Bros. Television)
What I Said: "The Vampire Diaries is a hit for ITV2, which also screens Gossip Girl (another Alloy/CW enterprise), so this is just about guaranteed to show up somewhere."
Was I Right? The "somewhere" proved to be SkyLiving.
