The Thirty Years Ago Post.

Do younger people who hear songs that were hits in the '80s feel the same way as younger people in the '80s felt when they heard songs that were hits in the '50s? I'd say "Yes."

This morning I did searches for porn star Julia Ann, and for Katie Hopkins. I feel more disgusted about the latter.

Danny Elfman's music for Fifty Shades Of Grey is best enjoyed away from the movie.

And finally, I've decided that the poolside Cindy Crawford is the real thing. Sorry.

The Cindy And Hayden Post.

I'll excuse Cindy for her political flip-flopping; we'll blame the husband ("We voted your guy last time, so we'll do mine now").

Also, what I was meant to do this morning: catch up on Revenge. What I actually did; read about a billion Hayden tweets what with Nashville premiering last night/this morning (sorry, Emily VanCamp, you'll have to wait your turn). Funny how the majority of haters are female...

The Yep, Still Has It Post.

I refuse to include any pictures of her with her daughter (until she's 16, anyway).

The Bob's Big Boy Of Models Post.

In the first/only good Austin Powers movie, Dr. Evil uses a Bob's Big Boy as an escape capsule; when the enormous fast food logo is spotted and a technician says it's back, Charles Napier points out that technically the chain's never been gone.

Similarly, Cindy's two newest covers arriving virtually together - first for Chinese Elle...

and then for Mexican Vogue...

...have led to yet more discussion of Cindy being "back." But really, was she ever actually "gone"? Think about it.

Since having Presley and Kaia she's slowed down, and certainly she hasn't been as omnipresent as she was in the '90s - but though the days of the calendars and the MTV gigs are gone she's still a busy pitchwoman (most notably for Omega) and while she is, in a sense, to be congratulated for deciding to act her age and not behave as if she has to keep up with the Miranda Kerrs and Brooklyn Deckers, the guy in me wouldn't mind too much... well, wouldn't mind at all were she to make another visit to the men's magazine section (Cindy hasn't done a shoot with the Y-chromosome audience in mind since that Maxim one a few years back).

Then again, Kate Moss appears in butt-baring mode on another country's edition of Vogue to lesser effect (even without Ashley Tisdale having done a similar shot with much more enticing results in the latest Allure, Reed Richards and Inspector Gadget combined can't bridge the gap in looks between 45-year-old mother of two Cindy Crawford and the somewhat younger Kate). Cindy has nothing to prove.

The Family That Sells Together Stays Together Post.

Somebody I have to update Cindy's Wikipedia page to add a complete list of products she's sold over the years (everything from makeup to German banks). Many would say her Pepsi commercial with those two little boys is her finest work, so it's inevitable she should reteam with Pepsi for... water.

Propel Water deserves props for being responsible for the first ad in which all four members of the world's most gorgeous celeb family appear (Presley and Kaia have been in Pepsi and JCPenney spots, and future heartbreaker Kaia modelled for Melissa Odabash to some people's distaste). It is possible that somewhere in the US, there is a family watching this with members sighing over every single person in the above. Age-appropriate, of course.

The Birthday Magazine Post.

First off, a very happy birthday 45th birthday to the wondrous Cindy Crawford!

Secondly, a not happy at all day to the person who tore some of Cindy's presence out of the first issue of Michigan Avenue before it was sold on eBay to me... NOT DONE.

The When The Voice Met The Mole Post.

Okay, it's actually a cover of one of Ol' Blue Eyes's numbers, but you can't argue with the subject of his affections. Enjoy...

The That's A Point In Her Favour Post.

USA TODAY on Superbowl ads, which this year have a fair amount of ladies including Kim Kardashian:

When she was a kid, she says, she used to watch the Super Bowl with her family in order to see the commercials. Her favorite Super Bowl commercials, she says, are the Pepsi ads from the 1990s that starred supermodel Cindy Crawford. Now that Kardashian — also a model — is staring in her own Super Bowl spot, she says, "I'm not replacing her. I'm just joining the club."

I'm with her. On both counts.

The Access Cindy Post.

Cindy was great at selling years ago, and she still is now.

A pillow fight. That's good. :)

The Never Enough Cindy Post.

Do any of Presley's or Kaia's classmates (or teachers) have a crush on their friend's/pupil's mum? You just know some of them do; the odds demand it. As do sense. Here she is on the cover of India Vogue, working it as fantastically as ever.

The Big Apple Beauty Post.

The Queen's latest Twitpic has her in action for Deichmann. They manufacture shoes. So naturally you want a gorgeous brunette to distract attention from the shoes.

Then again, Cindy always distracts attention.

The Working Girl Post.

In her capacity as a Twitter user, Cindy sometimes uploads images of herself on the job. So here are three thousand and one words.

Wow.

Yours truly, Cindy's family and friends, and all her fans everywhere wish Cindy's son Presley a very happy 11th birthday! (They grow up so fast!)

The One Kiss Post.

Named after the necklace she's wearing in this picture (taken at the launch party for When I Stop Talking, You'll Know I'm Dead: Useful Stories from a Persuasive Man by producer Jerry Weintraub, who may have produced The Avengers but also did The Karate Kids and Emma Roberts' debut vehicle Nancy Drew). It's part of her JCPenney line One Kiss. Named, in turn, after what a lot of us would give her.
