Fact: Christopher "the ninth Doctor Who" Eccleston joins the cast of Heroes. Fact: BBC2 announces buying the terrestrial rights. Coincidence? I doubt it.
But this is great news for those folks who were wondering when an FTA channel would pull their fingers out and get it. Not so great for those who recall BBC2's treatment of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (6:45pm with appropriate snippage anyone?). Or their legendary treatment of Seinfeld. Or Monk, Arrested Development, American Dad!, Family Guy, etc... but we'll see. 9pm in primetime, schedulers - nothing less will do.
